About Pixactly

Pixactly is a sports analytics company. What drives us is the ambition of supporting swimmers, with technology for them to continuously rise and win medals.

Pixactly turns footage of a swimmer's laps into insights the swimmer and their coach can use for improvement.

• We film each lap with a camera. Our software reads the footage and works out important KPIs.
• Swimmers, parents and coaches see the insights and collaborate with an action plan for improving the figures and track improvements from the measures in subsequent sessions.

What you'll do

We want a respected coach to stand behind these insights, check numbers, and help swimmers and parents use them.

Your main job is to make sure our numbers are right, and to tell us what swimmers and coaches need from them.

1. Check our numbers. Watch lap videos, count strokes and kicks by hand, and mark key moments such as the push-off, breakout and touch. Compare your counts with ours and flag any that don't match.
2. Shape what we measure and show. Tell us which figures matter for each stroke and age group, and how to explain them simply. Test new features before swimmers see them.
3. Be the coaching voice parents trust. Explain our reports to parents and swimmers remotely but also at the pool and at demos.
4. Open doors. Bring swimmers for trial sessions, and introduce us to pools, clubs and other coaches.
5. Appear at campaigns and marketing/industry events if and as required.
6. Appear on our website as our coach.

What we're looking for

An experienced competitive-swimming coach who is careful with detail and good with parents.

Must have

• At least 5 years coaching competitive swimmers in all four strokes, including starts and turns.
• A recognised coaching qualification, such as the NS NIS Patiala Diploma in Sports Coaching (Swimming), or an equivalent.
• Comfortable with a smartphone and a laptop, and patient with frame-by-frame video.
• Able to explain things clearly in English, and in Telugu or Hindi.
• Free on some weekdays and available at least for 3 hours on the weekend.
• Adhere to any verification procedures if and as required.

Nice to have

• You have competed at state or national level yourself.
• You already use video when coaching.
• Experience coaching children and teenagers, and working with their parents.
• Education in STEM subjects will be desired but not mandatory.
